Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Bill 2010 - Non compliance to incur civil penalties

The long awaited legislation requiring mandatory disclosure of energy efficiency in commercial buildings has now been introduced into the Federal Parliament. The ‘Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Bill 2010’ is expected to be operative from 1 July 2010 with the disclosure obligations expected to commence from October 2010.
